Florence Freedoms’ third baseman Taylor Oldham and Gateway Grizzlies’ starting pitcher Will Landsheft were named Frontier League Players and Pitcher of the Week, respectively as chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. Oldham, in his fifth season of professional baseball and his second season in the Frontier League managed to get 9 hits in his 21 at bats this week. To start off the week, Oldham, went 2-4 against the Boomers on Thursday, while earning 2 RBI, 1 home run, and 2 runs scored.  For the weekend series, Oldham went 7-13 in his at bats. He managed to rack up an impressive 4 RBI, 1 walk, 2 home runs, 2 doubles, and 5 runs scored. This impressive hitting brought his average up to .324 for the season with 17 stolen bases, 53 RBI, 11 home runs, 2 triples, and 14 doubles. Before joining the Frontier League Oldham played collegiately at Covenant College and Tennessee Wesleyan. He also played in the Pecos League, and American Association.
