AUGUST 7 AFTERNOON RECAPS Sioux City 5, Kansas City 4 (11 innings)- Box 2B Bryan Johns hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th to give the Explorers a 5-4 win over the T-Bones. CF Tim Colwell led off the inning with a double, and was sacrificed to third. After a pair of walks, Johns stepped up and drove in Colwell to end the game. The hit was Johns’ third of the day, as he joined SS Nate Samson and Colwell as players with three hits in the game. Samson drove in a pair of runs with a sacrifice fly in the first and an RBI single in the fourth. LHP Hobbs Johnson tossed two scoreless innings to pick up the win for the Explorers. DH Anthony Gallas was 2-for-5 with two RBI and a home run for the T-Bones. Winnipeg 4, Gary SouthShore 1- Box Trailing 1-0 entering the eighth inning, the Winnipeg Goldeyes plated four runs to take a 4-1 win over the Gary SouthShore RailCats.
