Florence Freedoms’ outfielder Andrew Godbold and Schaumburg Boomers’ starting pitcher Seth Webster were named Frontier League Players and Pitcher of the Week, respectively as chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. Godbold, in his third season of professional baseball and his second in the Frontier League with the Freedom managed to get 9 hits in his 19 at bats this week. To start off the week, Godbold, went 1-3 against the Beach Bums with one walk. He then followed up this impressive performance on Thursday with a 3-4 night. Godbold managed to get 1 double, 1 home run, 1 sacrifice fly, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored against the Bums that game. In the weekend series against the Wild Things Godbold went 5-11 with 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 stolen base, 1 sacrifice fly, and 2 runs scored. This week brought his batting average up to an impressive .304 with 16 stolen bases, 36 RBI, 9 home runs, and 17 doubles.
