Sioux City 8, St. Paul 5 – Box The Sioux City Explorers tallied six runs in the fifth inning to take full control of the game and defeat the St. Paul Saints by an 8-5 score. Sioux City had four hitters with multi-hit games including C Ralph Henriquez who went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. Explorers CF Tim Colwell had two hits and two runs scored while RF Michael Lang had two walks and two RBI in a 1-for-3 night. Sioux City pitcher Rob Wort picked up his third win of the season as he threw three innings of relief allowing an earned run on three hits. First baseman Angelo Songco went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the loss for St. Paul. Gary SouthShore 7, Kansas City 2 – Box The Gary SouthShore RailCats scored four runs in the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie and defeat the Kansas City T-Bones by a 7-2 final. Gary SouthShore CF Anthony Cheky went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored while DH Frank Martinez and SS Jarred Mederos each had a hit and three RBI with Martinez tallying a run.
