SOUTH ALL-STARS ANNOUNCED

DURHAM, N.C.– With seven selections, the defending American Association champion Laredo Lemurs headline the American Association South All-Star Team selections for the 2016 All-Star Game in St. Paul, Minnesota. The South All-Star Team will battle the North All-Star Team in the August 2 game at CHS Field, home of the St. Paul Saints. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m. Central time, and the game will air on Fox Sports Midwest Plus. The South All-Star team is composed of the four members of the American Association’s South division — the Joplin Blasters, Laredo Lemurs, Texas AirHogs and Wichita Wingnuts. The South All-Star team will also include representatives from the six-team Can-Am League. The Can-Am League is composed of the New Jersey Jackals, Ottawa Champions, Quebec Capitales, Rockland Boulders, Sussex County Miners and Trois-Rivieres Aigles. Miles Wolff serves as the Commissioner of both the American Association and Can-Am League. All-Stars representing American Association teams were selected by Pete Incaviglia, manager of the Laredo Lemurs and manager of the South All-Stars in the game. Can-Am League All-Stars were chosen by Jamie Keefe, manager of the Rockland Boulders. Keefe will serve as a coach for the South All-Stars in the August 2 game.…
