BOX SCORE AND GAME STATS East Side Diamond Hoppers 4 AT Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers 3 By Adam Rickert Tyler Booth continued to prove his worth as one of the best hitters in the USPBL, collecting two huge hits for the Eastside Diamond Hoppers in Saturday night’s 4-3 win over the Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers. With his team down 1-0 in the fourth inning, Booth blasted his fourth home run in his past six games with a no-doubt rocket to right field. Booth stepped up to the plate again in the fifth and followed up his home run with a clutch two-out double down the right field line, scoring Ryne Willard from first and giving the Diamond Hoppers a 3-2 lead. Willard, who played third base rather than his usual shortstop, had just tied the game with a single that brought home Ricky Castro. After Birmingham-Bloomfield tied the game in the sixth, Castro crossed home again in the seventh to give the Hoppers the deciding run as he scored on a pinch-hit fielder’s choice by Joe Fiorino.
