Winnipeg 6, Sioux City 4 – Box Winnipeg broke a 2-2 tie with a run in the sixth inning and then added three more in the seventh to collect a 6-4 victory over Sioux City. Goldeyes CF Reggie Abercrombie had a night to remember as he hit two home runs (87 & 88) to break the American Association record for career home runs. Abercrombie hit a solo shot in the second to tie the record and then broke it with a blast in the sixth. Winnipeg RF Willie Cabrera also added a home run while SS Maikol Gonzalez hit a triple and scored a run. Goldeyes starting pitcher Edwin Carl threw 6 1/3 innings to pick-up his fourth win. Carl gave up two earned runs on five hits and struck out eight batters. Gary SouthShore 7, Fargo-Moorhead 3 (13 Innings) – Box The Gary SouthShore RailCats scored four runs with two out in the top of the 13th inning to topple the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, 7-3.
