Washington Wild Things first baseman Logan Uxa and Normal CornBelters starting pitcher Charlie Gillies were named Frontier League Players and Pitcher of the Week, respectively as chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. Logan Uxa joined the Wild Things in the first week of June as has appeared in 25 games so far. In five games last week, Logan recorded a .526 batting average including one double, one triple, and two home runs while driving in six, raising his season batting average by 66 points. The Wild Things won four of these five games to vault to first place in the East Division entering the All-Star Break. Prior joining the Wild Things, Logan spent time with both the Cincinnati Reds and Baltimore Orioles organizations. Cincinnati drafted Logan in the 32nd round in 2013 out of Arkansas State University, and he played in 43 games between the Arizona League Reds and Bakersfield Blaze of the California League with a .266 batting average.
