2016 Y’ALL-STAR GAME HOME RUN DERBY PARTICIPANTS

(Sauget, Ill.)- The Frontier League is proud to announce the participants that will be taking part in the league’s Home Run Derby, presented by Toyota. The derby will be held this Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at UC Health Stadium in Florence, Kentucky at 6:35pm. Five players each from the East and West divisions have been named by Commissioner Bill. The players for the East include Joliet Slammers 1B Marc Flores, Traverse City Beach Bums SS Will Kegnor, Windy City ThunderBolts OF Coco Johnson, Washington Wild Things OF David Popkins, and Schaumburg Boomers DH Paul Kronenfeld. The West Division will send Evansville Otters 1B Nik Balog, Southern Illinois Miners 3B Steve Marino, Normal CornBelters OF Nolan Meadows, Florence Freedom OF Andrew Godbold, and Gateway Grizzlies DH Craig Massoni. This year, two separate champions will be crowned as there will be the normal Frontier League Derby Champion, but this year there will also be a Pro-Am Derby Champion. Both champions will be presented with trophy bats from the official bat of the derby, B45. The formats will consist of each Frontier League contestant being paired up with a 12 year old from Northern Kentucky.  They will each receive a timed 2-minute round…
