June 23 Evening Recap Winnipeg 3, Lincoln 0 – Box The pitching duo of Edwin Carl and Jailen Peguero combined on a six-hit shutout as the Winnipeg Goldeyes beat the Lincoln Saltdogs, 3-0. Carl went the first eight innings allowing only five hits while striking out six batters. The righty earned the victory and improved to 3-2 on the season. Peguero notched his sixth save as he gave up a hit in the ninth inning. Offensively for Winnipeg, RF David Rohm went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI while LF Josh Romanski collected two hits and tallied a run. Kansas City 7, Joplin 5 – Box The Kansas City T-Bones rolled out to a 7-0 lead after four innings and held on late to beat the Joplin Blasters by a 7-5 final. Kansas City 1B Jake Blackwood led the way offensively going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. T-Bones DH Starlin Rodriguez also added a home run in a 2-for-3 night along with two runs scored and a RBI while SS Vladimir Frias collected two hits and scored a run.
