Traverse City, MI – The Washington Wild Things continue their success against the Traverse City Beach Bums as they emerge victorious Wednesday night, defeating the Beach Bums by a final score of 6-4. Wild Things pitcher Brian O’Keefe (1-0) secured the win on the mound, striking out five batters and surrendering just one hit in two innings pitched. Luke Barker (0-3) is charged with the loss for Traverse City. Bryan Haar continued his hitting streak, giving the Wild Things a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st with a solo home run. A double from Traverse City’s Casey Rodrigue and RBI double by Will Kengor evened the game up at 1-1 in the bottom of the 1st. The Beach Bums managed to take the lead in the bottom of the third off Will Kengor’s second RBI of the night that would bring home Marcos Derkes, giving Traverse City a 2-1 lead. An RBI single from Ryan Bottger late in the inning extended the lead for the Beach Bums to 3-1. The Wild Things managed to cut the lead in half in the top of the 4th with an RBI double by Jimmy Yezzo to cut the lead to 3-2.…
