JOLIET, IL- The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy announce a full lineup of events for their Father’s Day home stand against the Schaumburg Boomers beginning Friday, June 17 at Silver Cross Field. Weekend highlights include a Friday night fireworks show, a pig roast, and a guest appearance by former Chicago Cubs player Andre Dawson. The weekend kicks off on Friday, June 17 with the Slammers Salute to Summer theme night. Tickets for a pre-game backyard BBQ presented by Double D Pig Roasts are available and include a pork dinner as well as a pig education, where fans can watch the Double D crew hand pull the onsite roasted pig and learn where different pork cuts of meat in the store come from. A fireworks show presented by Lumina Pyrotechnics will follow the game that evening. The Slammers welcome Andre Dawson Saturday, June 18 to Silver Cross Field. The former Chicago Cub and National League MVP will step onto the field once again to coach the Slammers in the first few innings.
