CUBAN NATIONAL TEAM, SHIKOKU ISLAND ALL-STARS MAKE DEBUT

The Shikoku Island All-Stars made the most of their first game against a CanAm League opponent as they racked up 14 hits on their way to a 7-1 win against the Sussex County Miners. Meanwhile, the Cuban National Team’s debut with the CanAm League was halted by rain in the fourth inning. The score was still 0-0 when the game was suspended by the weather. The Quebec Capitales and the Cuban National Team will resume play tomorrow, June 10, at 6 p.m. and they will play a seven-inning game after the completion of today’s game. Elsewhere, Rockland edged New Jersey 3-2 and Ottawa and Trois-Rivieres were postponed to Friday.
