UTICA, Mich. – Francis Florentino went 2-for-3 with one RBI in game two of Saturday’s doubleheader to lead the Westside Woolly Mammoths (1-3) to a 3-2 victory over the Utica Unicorns (2-1) in front of a lively Jimmy John’s Field crowd.
Right-handed pitcher Garrett Martin (1-0) picked up his first win of the season, throwing 5.0 innings, scattering two hits and struck out three.
Josh Baker tried to lead rally the Unicorns in the top of the sixth, bringing in two runs.
