Saturday’s playoff action saw the Schaumburg Boomers clinch a spot in the Frontier League Championship Series and the Washington Wild Things win to set up a game five on Sunday. Read how each game unfolded: The Schaumburg Boomers held on to beat the Florence Y’alls 7-5 and clinch a spot in the Frontier League Championship Series! The Boomers went ahead right away, with Braxton Davidson singling home a run in the first, and Clint Hardy hitting a two-run shot to make it 3-0. Florence’s Harrison DiNicola singled home a run in the bottom of the inning to make it 3-1. The next inning, Ronnie Allen, Jr. homered to cut it to 3-2 before the Y’alls would add two more in the third.
