NEW JERSEY’S DALTON COMBS AND JOLIET’S TREVOR CHARPIE WIN WEEKLY AWARDS

New Jersey Jackals outfielder Dalton Combs and Joliet Slammers right-hander Trevor Charpie have won this week’s Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. These awards are chosen by Pointstreak, who is the official statistical provider of the Frontier League.   Combs takes home his first Player of the Week award and New Jersey’s first weekly award this season. Combs led the league this week with fifteen hits, including two doubles and three home runs. He recorded thirteen RBIs and hit .536 over seven games this week. In the September 8 game vs Washington, he registered six RBIs and two home runs in the 21-8 win.   The 26-year-old joined the Frontier League in 2021 after spending time with the San Francisco Giants organization.
