ROCHESTER, Mich. – The race for first place is getting closer, but the Utica Unicorns still hold a four game lead. Malik Barrington (BBB), Jackson Hicks (WWM), Jordan Carr (UU), and Ricardo Velez (EDH) became the 41st – 45th players to ink contracts with Major League Baseball organizations since 2016 to highlight This Week in the USPBL. Beavers RHP Jake Kinney tossed a 7.0 inning no-hitter, striking out 12 and walking one. Connor Bagnieski from Green Bay, WI., leads the way for the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers. The second baseman leads the league in batting average (.441) and on-base percentage (.587). The Utica Unicorns Drue Galassi continues to lead the home run race with eight. On the mound, the Woolly Mammoths Greg Loukinen boasts the best ERA (1.68). Right-handed pitcher Adrian Cook leads the league with four saves on the season.
