ROSEMONT, Ill. (July 24, 2021) – A pair of five-run innings propelled the Chicago Dogs to a 13-2 win over the Cleburne Railroaders on Saturday night at Impact Field. For a second straight night, Cleburne (35-24) scored in the first inning. After a pair of two-out singles, Ramon Hernandez and Zach Nehrir executed a double steal to give the Railroaders a 1-0 lead. The Dogs (38-24) answered with a run in the third on a solo home run from Michael Crouse, and then five runs in the fourth for a 6-1 lead. The big blow in the inning was a bases-clearing double off the bat of Danny Mars.Osvaldo Martinez pounded a long solo home run in the top of the sixth to trim the lead to 6-2, but K.C. Hobson ripped a two-run home run in the bottom of the frame to extend the Dogs margin to 8-2.Five more Chicago…
