A few big wins and a late-inning comeback highlighted Sunday’s Frontier League action. Read about how every game played out with a brief recap on all the games: The Schaumburg Boomers routed the Joliet Slammers to take the rubber match of their weekend series 12-1. The first run of the game was scored on an RBI single by Nick Ames. The Boomers scored three more in the third with a solo home run from Chase Dawson and an RBI double from Angelo Gumbs. Another run scored after Luke Becker reached first on a fielder’s choice, making it 5-0 Boomers. After Schaumburg made it 6-0, the Slammers would get on the board after a sacrifice fly by Patrick Causa, making it 6-1.
