LINCOLN, Nebraska – Josh Altmann hit his team-leading sixth home run, but the ‘Dogs lost 12-1 to the Sioux City Explorers at Haymarket Park on Wednesday night. BOX SCORE Altmann’s two-out homer cut Sioux City’s (22-11) lead to 7-1 in the 3rd, but the X’s added three more in the 4th and two in the 8th, handing the Saltdogs (15-16) their fifth straight loss. Edgar Corcino had two more hits and extended his hitting streak to eight games, while David Vidal also walked twice. Patrick Adams had a single in his first start of the series, and Justin Byrd walked for a second consecutive game. John Richy allowed seven runs on 10 hits over three innings, and Greg Minier allowed three runs on four hits in two innings.
