History was made Tuesday night, as Tri-City pitched their third no-hitter in franchise history. Read more about that and every other game that took place with a quick recap: The Tri-City ValleyCats combined to toss a no-hitter in their 3-0 victory over the Sussex County Miners. This is the third no-hitter in the 20-year history of the Tri-City franchise, and the second overall in the young 2021 Frontier League season (after Michael Austin tossed a no-hitter for the Southern Illinois Miners last week). Parker Kelly started the game and allowed only two baserunners while striking out three over six innings of work. Francisco Jimenez followed with four consecutive strikeouts in his two innings pitched, and Trey Cochran-Gill retired the side in order to earn his third save of the season.
