MOORHEAD, MN — Sioux Falls Canaries outfielder Logan Landon and Sioux City Explorers left-hander Patrick Ledet have been named the American Association of Professional Baseball’s Batter and Pitcher of the Week for the week ending June 20, the league announced Monday. Landon notched a .458 batting average, four home runs and 11 RBIs over five games last week. He was particularly hot from June 16 to 18, homering in three straight games with nine total RBIs. The strong play did not go unnoticed: Landon had his contract transferred to the Philadelphia Phillies organization on Sunday. He exits the American Association with a 1.077 OPS in 26 games this season. A former 10th-round draft choice with five years of minor-league experience, Landon suited up for his second season with the Birds in 2021.
