Florence Y’alls utility man Chad Sedio and Southern Illinois Miners right-hander Michael Austin have won this week’s Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. These awards are chosen by Pointstreak, who is the official statistical provider of the Frontier League. Sedio takes home Florence’s second consecutive Player of the Week Award this season, after Harrison DiNicola won the award last week. Sedio’s twelve hits—including four doubles, one home run, and seven RBIs—led the league this week. He was also at the top of the league in batting average over the last seven days, hitting .571 in six games played. The 27-year-old is in his first season with the Florence Y’alls, after spending the 2016-2019 seasons in the Detroit Tigers organization. He is right behind his teammate and league leader DiNicola in both batting average and hits, with a .391 average and 34 hits on the season. Sedio leads…
