UTICA, Mich. – Right handed pitcher Ty Tracy (1-0) tossed 5.0 innings and Jason Aponte went 1-for-3 with one RBI to lead the Eastside Diamond Hoppers (1-0) past the Westside Woolly Mammoths (0-1), 3-1, on Saturday at Jimmy John’s Field. RHP Don Thacker made the start for the Mammoths, throwing 4.0 innings, allowing three hits and struck out two in the loss. Short stop Adrian Guzman went 1-for-2 with one RBI. The Hoppers scored three runs, on 4 hits and had two errors, while the Woolly Mammoths tallied two runs, six hits and committed three errors.
