After the signing of Andrew Case, the Capitals are once again strengthening their pitcher lineup by announcing this time the acquisition of Samuel Adames, who will join the team for the next season. The 25-year-old right-hander turns out to be a very big acquisition for the training, which was dominant during the 2018 and 2019 seasons in Japan. Samuel Adames began his professional career in the Kansas City Royals at the age of 19 before transitioning two years later to Asia. After studying in the Asian minor ranks, the native of the Dominican Republic was promoted to the powerful and highly recognized team of Yomiuri Giants, the occupants of the famous Tokyo Dome. In more than 110 innings with the Yomiuri Giants, Adames’ average of 3.39 was earned while making 17 saves and 81 strikeouts.
