Sabol’s Return Bolsters Washington’s Bullpen

WASHINGTON, Pa. (Jan. 10)- The Wild Things continue with their roster construction with the announcement of re-signing left handed reliever BJ Sabol. After a shortened season in 2018, Sabol returned to Washington for his first full pro campaign and he certainly did not disappoint. He appeared in 44 games for the Wild Things, which tied for the team lead alongside RHP Zach Strecker. In his 41+ innings pitched he only allowed 36 hits and struck out 56 of those he faced. He ranked among the league’s best in K/9, posting a club leading 12.1 strikeouts per 9 innings and dominating left handed hitters to a clip of .143 BAA.
