Over 20 current and former American Association players will be taking part in the World Baseball Softball Confederation’s Premier12 tournament, held November 2-17 at sites in Japan, Korea, Mexico and Taiwan. The tournament features the world’s 12 top-ranked baseball nations, with the top finishers from the Americas and Asia/Oceania each earning a berth in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. 2019 American Association players at the tournament include Winnipeg INF Wes Darvill (photo left), Lincoln 1B Curt Smith (photo center) and Chicago RHP Luke Wilkins (photo right).
