Dayton, Ohio — Trois-Rivières Aigles manager T.J. Stanton has been named the Can-Am League’s 2019 Manager of the Year, as selected in a poll of league managers and media members. Stanton is in his fourth campaign as Aigles skipper, having joined the club midway through the 2016 season. Going into the season’s final day, Trois-Rivières is in second place at 57-37 and has improved its overall record in each of Stanton’s seasons at the helm. His powerful 2019 squad featured three postseason all-stars (C Anthony Hermelyn, OF Raphaël Gladu and reliever Garrett Mundell) and the Rookie Pitcher of the Year (Garrett Harris), and has scored the most runs of any club in the league.
