Texas 8, Gary SouthShore 5 (11 Innings) – Box Score The Texas AirHogs outlasted the Gary SouthShore RailCats 8-5 in 11 innings on Wednesday evening at U.S. Steel Yard. The AirHogs rallied late with three runs in the top of the eighth inning to take a one-run lead but the RailCats responded in the bottom half of the frame to tie things back up at 5-5. Texas broke the stalemate in the top of the 11th when DH/LF Justin Byrd (3-for-6) doubled home SS Yang Jin. The AirHogs proceeded to add another pair of runs as C Al Reda scored when 2B Li Ning (2-for-5) reached on an error and Byrd scored on a wild pitch. 1B Chen Junpeng also added a 2-for-4 performance with a pair of RBIs for the AirHogs.
