MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Winnipeg Goldeyes’ OF Reggie Abercrombie has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending August 11, 2019. Abercrombie earned the award after hitting .433 with 10 runs scored, 1 triple, 2 home runs, and 6 RBIs this past week. The Player of the Week Award is Abercrombie’s third with the Winnipeg Goldeyes, fifth of his American Association career, and his first since 2016. The league’s home run leader put on a marquee performance in a 13-9 win over the Milwaukee Milkmen on August 10. In the game, Abercrombie went 4-for-6 at the plate, while scoring four runs, hitting a triple, two home runs and driving in three.
