Florence has tossed 19 straight scoreless innings, grab third win in a row SCHAUMBURG, Ill– After a shut-out win in the previous finale, the Florence Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, blanked the Schaumburg Boomers in the opener of a new series, landing a, 1-0, victory at Boomers Stadium on Tuesday night. The shut-out makes it nineteen straight scoreless innings for the Freedom pitching staff, who last allowed a run in the eighth inning on Saturday night. Florence (46-29) started fast in the first inning, plating a run off Gunnar Kines (6-5) courtesy an Isaac Benard double and an ensuing two-out RBI-single from Ricky Ramirez Jr. The Boomers (38-34) starter, Kines, would not allow another run over his last five innings, earning his ninth straight quality-start in a tough-luck loss.
