It’s been a very long time before we were able to say that we beat the Railcats! However, on Saturday in Gary, IN, the Milkmen defeated the Railcats 6-4 in a very exciting ball game. Kurt Heyer led the way in pitching 7.1 innings giving up only 1 earned run. Heyer scattered 8 hits and his defense played very well behind him.The Milkmen jumped off to a 3-1 lead after one inning followed by 5 innings of zero runs for both teams. The score stayed 3-1 until the 7th inning when Manny Boscan drove a ball out of sight, but not out of the park and drove in three runs giving the Milkmen a 6-1 lead after seven. Although Heyer was pitching well, the Railcats started off a rally of their own in the 8th inning. Colin Willis tripled in three runs making the score 6-4. Any chance the team from…
