PERU, NY – The Road City Explorers have put the pedal to the metal and have been exploding offensively to extend their winning streak to 4 games and sit one game ahead of the Saranac Lake Surge in the final spot of the Wild Card. Big reason for the success of this streak has been the stellar hitting by Leobaldo Cabrera who is now tied for the league lead in Home Runs with 7 as well as the starting pitching which includes Spencer Hereford who is now in league leaders with 4 victories and 33 strikeouts. The Explorers will have two more games versus the New York Bucks before heading to Saranac Lake to finish out the season versus the Surge who are just one game behind the Explorers in which will be the deciding series for the final spot of the playoffs.
