July 20 Recap Rockland 5, Sussex County 3 – Box Score Rockland won their third consecutive contest as they defeated Sussex County by the score of 5-3. After trailing 1-0 through 1 ½ innings of action, the Boulders tallied all five of their runs in the bottom of the second. Rockland scored their runs via doubles by 1B Collin Ferguson and DH Matt Oberste, singles from 3B John Brontsema (pictured) and RF Richie Fecteau and a sacrifice fly by CF Chase Harris. Brontsema went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI while Ferguson and LF Grant Heyman each had a hit in three official at-bats and plated a run. Boulders starter Reinaldo Lopez threw 5 2/3 innings and notched the victory. The 28-year-old allowed three earned runs on six hits and struck out five batters.
