‘Roaders Scrap Past Gary to Win Series

GARY, Ind. (July 14, 2019) – Kenny Meimerstorf’s RBI single in the top of the seventh and six great innings from Eudis Idrogo lifted the Cleburne Railroaders to a 3-1 win over the Gary SouthShore RailCats on Sunday afternoon at U.S. Steel Yard. The win secured the ‘Roaders sixth consecutive series win, extending their franchise record. With the game tied 1-1 into the seventh, Hunter Clanin led off the frame with a double down the left field line against Gary SouthShore reliever Colby Morris (0-1). Meimerstorf followed with a looping liner to the opposite field that scored Clanin from second, giving the Railroaders (30-24) their first lead of the game at 2-1. That run earned a win for Idrogo (4-3), who delivered his second strong start on the road trip.
