Thornhill, Ontario – The Trois-Rivières Aigles swept the Can-Am League’s June 3-9 weekly awards, with 1B/C Joe Deluca named Batter of the Week and RHP Kevin McNorton earning Pitcher of the Week honors, as selected by PointStreak, the league’s official statistician. The Aigles went 4-2 on the week, including a three-game sweep of the New Jersey Jackals Tuesday through Thursday. Deluca, 23, appeared in all six games and went 10-for-18 (.476) with a 1.143 slugging percentage, belting four home runs and driving in 11. Most notably, on Saturday, June 8, he was 3-for-5 with two home runs and six RBI in a 13-7 loss to Ottawa, while on Tuesday, June 4, he went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in a 12-3 win over New Jersey.
