CRESTWOOD, Ill. — In a game that saw first pitch delayed nearly an hour and-a-half due to stormy weather, the River City Rascals eventually fell 4-3 in 11 innings to the Windy City ThunderBolts on Saturday night. Blair Beck drove in the winning run for the Bolts, evening the series at a game apiece. Patrick Mathis had four hits, including three doubles, and drove in two runs in the victory. The ThunderBolts scored first, getting an RBI double from Mathis in the third. The Rascals then scored two in the fifth, with the first run scoring on a double-play ball and the second on an RBI single from Andrew Penner. The Bolts tied the game with an RBI groundout from Randy Perez in the sixth, and took the lead on another run-scoring double from Mathis in the seventh. Artemis Kadkhodaian tied the game 3-3 with an RBI single in the eighth.…
