Sioux City 3, Texas 1 (Game 1 – 7 Innings) – Box Score The Sioux City Explorers took game one of a doubleheader with Texas as they downed the AirHogs by the score of 3-1. Sioux City jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning as LF Luke Bonfield doubled home 1B Dean Green and DH Dexture McCall. Texas would cut the lead in half in the fifth as 2B Cao Jie scored on a groundout by C Stephen Haviar. The Explorers came back to add an insurance run in the sixth when Michael Lang launched his first home run of the season. Lang went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Bonfield drove in two runs in a 1-for-2 outing. Sioux City reliever Tyler Fallwell tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the victory.
