Photo Credit: Quebec Capitales DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Quebec Capitales INF TJ White (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending August 26. White went 8-for-25 (.320) at the plate this week, notching two doubles, three home runs, and 10 RBI. On Monday, he began his week with an 0-for-2 game against the Ottawa Champions at home, but drew three walks and scored a run in a 6-5 Quebec win. His first hit of the week came in a Tuesday setback to Ottawa that evened the series, but helped propel the Capitales to a win on Wednesday with a 1-for-4 night that featured a run scored in a 4-3 triumph. White’s best game of the week came on Thursday, when he went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, five RBI and two runs scored as Quebec clinched the series with a 6-4 victory. Quebec hit the road for the weekend, travelling to the Sussex County Miners. White recorded a sacrifice fly in a Friday defeat, and drove in another run on Saturday via the same method.
