AUGUST 23 LEAGUE RECAP Quebec 6, Ottawa 4 – Box Score Quebec scored four runs in the sixth inning to overcome a 4-2 deficit and defeat Ottawa by the score of 6-4. With the win, the Capitales took 3-of-4 in the series. The Capitales had 10 hits as team and was led by TJ White (pictured) who went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs and five RBIs. White’s second homer of the night came in the big four-run sixth when he blasted a three-run shot to give Quebec the lead for good. Maxx Tissenbaum also chipped in a 1-for-3 night with two runs scored while Kalian Sams collected a pair hits in four at-bats and scored a run. Capitales starting pitcher Jay Johnson allowed four earned runs over seven innings of work and picked-up his seventh victory. Johnson allowed nine hits while striking out five in a 102-pitch performance. For Ottawa, Steve Brown had a 2-for-4 game with a home run and two RBIs. Sussex County 4, Rockland 2 – Box Score Starting pitcher Michael Wagner tossed eight strong innings in leading Sussex County to a 4-2 victory over Rockland.
