AUGUST 17 LEAGUE RECAP Rockland 2, Ottawa 1 (7 Innings) – Box Score Cody Regis (pictured) hit a solo home run in the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and help Rockland defeat Ottawa, 2-1. This game was called due to rain in the bottom of the seventh after a 31-minute rain delay. The Boulders jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the third on a sacrifice fly by Mike Montville. The Champions responded with a run in the top of the sixth on a solo blast by Jordan Caillouet. The 1-1 tie was short-lived however as Regis’ home run in the bottom half of the inning gave Rockland the lead for good. Regis went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI while JC Rodriguez collected a pair of hits and scored a run. Boulders pitcher Frank Moscatiello tossed 2 2/3 innings of relief and notched his third win of the season. Moscatiello gave up an earned run on two hits and struck out two batters.
