AUGUST 12 AFTERNOON LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: Rockland Boulders Rockland 6, Ottawa 0 – Box Score Starting pitcher Brian Ernst and two relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as Rockland downed Ottawa, 6-0. With the victory, the Boulders gained a series split with the Champions. Ernst tossed the first six innings allowing only the four hits while striking out three in a 72-pitch performance. The two relievers, Nick Kennedy (pictured) and Tommy Lawrence, finished the final three innings and combined to allow only a walk. Ernst notched the win and is now 4-1 on the season. Offensively for Rockland, LF Kevin Krause led the way going 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored. Boulders 3B Cody Regis drove in two runs in a 1-for-3 day while C Marcus Nidiffer added a solo home run in the seventh inning. Rockland scored three runs in the second and two more in the third to jump ahead 5-0 and would never look back.
