Box Score | Photo Gallery UTICA, Mich. – Right-handed pitcher Pete Grasso threw 5.0 scoreless innings, scattering three hits and struck out three, while Gunnar Buhner went 2-for-3, with a sacrifice fly and RBI to lead the Eastside Diamond Hoppers (12-12) to a narrow 3-2 victory over the Utica Unicorns (12-13) in front of a lively crowd on Thursday night at Jimmy John’s Field. Tonight was the first-ever game played with the USPBL 2.5 rule in full effect. The Diamond Hoppers and Unicorns played all nine innings in exactly 2 hours and 30 minutes. Making his USPBL debut, Diamond Hoppers’ Brian Parreira finished 2-for-4 and drove in one run. RHP Keaton Aldridge earned the save, striking out three in the bottom of the ninth inning. Leading the Unicorns at the plate was Daniel Williams and Austin LaDoux each went 2-for-3 for Utica.
