CONSISTENT BICK NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Photo Credit: Ottawa Champions DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Ottawa Champions INF Daniel Bick (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending July 1. Bick was 11-for-27 (.407) at the plate this week, recording a pair of three-hit games. He notched a pair of doubles, a home run, and five RBI. The Alpharetta, Ga. resident opened his week on Monday at the Trois-Rivieres Aigles with a hit and an RBI in an 8-4 Ottawa win. After a hitless game Tuesday, Bick was 1-for-3 with a double in Wednesday’s 7-2 Champions win. Despite a 6-3 setback on Thursday, Bick posted his first of back-to-back three hit games. Bick achieved the three-hit feat again on Friday, adding a home run and two RBI to his line as the Champions fell at the hands of the New Jersey Jackals 6-4. Ottawa recovered from their series opening loss, as the Champions posted a 10-0 win on Saturday, and Bick had a hit and RBI. Bick helped lead Ottawa to the series win on Sunday, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the Champions’ 4-0 win on Canada…
