JUNE 27 LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: Quebec Capitales Quebec 8, Hollywood 0 – Box Score Quebec starting pitcher Karl Gelinas (pictured) and reliever Andrew Elliott combined on a seven-hit shutout as the Capitales defeated Hollywood, 8-0. Gelinas went the first seven innings of the contest allowing only six hits while fanning nine batters in an 86-pitch performance. Elliott, on the other hand, finished off the game tossing two innings and giving up only a hit. Gelinas notched the victory and is now 6-2 on the year. Offensively, Quebec pounded out 13 hits in the game. Capitales 3B TJ White went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI while CF Kalian Sams and 1B Lachlan Fontaine each had a pair of hits in four at-bats and scored a run. For Hollywood in the loss, CF Micheal Hungate went 3-for-4. Ottawa 7, Trois-Rivieres 2 – Box Score Ottawa tallied three runs in the top of the ninth inning to break open a close game and defeat Trois-Rivieres by a 7-2 score.
