Texas 4, Chicago 3 – Box Score The Texas AirHogs slid past the Chicago Dogs 4-3 on Wednesday evening at Impact Field. The AirHogs struck first in the opening inning as RF Stewart Ijames (2-for-5) scored on a 1B Correlle Prime (2-for-4) single. RF Jonathan Moroney (2-for-4) tied the score in the bottom of the first as he stole home. LF Tony Rosselli (2-for-4) gave Chicago the lead in the next inning with a solo home run but 2B Casio Grider leveled things in the top of the fourth with a lead-off roundtripper. LF Dillon Thomas plated what turned out to be the game-winning runs with a two-run home run in the top of the fifth. Chicago rallied in the ninth, cutting the lead to just one run as 3B Matt Dean doubled home CF Joe Benson with one out. But reliever Carlos Contreras came on to pitch after the RBI and closed out the game with a pair of strikeouts, earning the save in the process.
