June 17 League Recap New Jersey 8, Trois-Rivieres 1 – Box Score The visiting Jackals plated five runs in the fourth inning to take control of Sunday’s game in Trois-Rivieres, and cruised past the Aigles 8-1. Already leading 2-0, DH Daniel Canela laced an RBI single followed by an RBI double from RF Nolan Meadows. A third run scored when Canela crossed home on a passed ball, and Meadows scored on an RBI single from 2B Rony Cabrera. Cabrera would score the inning’s final run when LF Conor Hoffmann (pictured) doubled him home. The Jackals banged out 14 hits over the course of the contest, with five players finishing with two hits apiece. LHP Yasmani Hernandez fired seven shutout innings on the mound, striking out six and working around two hits and two walks. 3B Taylor Brennan drove in Trois-Rivieres’ lone run in the loss.
