JUNE 14 LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: Quebec Capitales Quebec 3, Ottawa 2 (Game 1 – 7 Innings) – Box Score In game one of a twinbill, DH Lachlan Fontaine singled home PR Edgar Lebron with the game winning run in the seventh inning as Quebec beat Ottawa in a walk-off, 3-2. The Capitales jumped ahead 2-0 in the third inning as CF Jordan Serena scored on an RBI single from 2B Maxx Tissenbaum and SS Yordan Manduley came home from third on a fielder’s choice by 3B TJ White. The Champions batted back and tied the contest at 2-2 in the fifth on a two-run single by 3B Jordan Caillouet. The score would stay that way until the seventh when Quebec won the game on the single from Fontaine. Fontaine was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with an RBI while C Adam Ehrlich had two hits, including a double, in three at-bats. Capitales pitcher Trevor Bayless threw two scoreless innings of relief to earn his first win of the season. Bayless allowed a hit to go with two strikeouts in the six batters he faced.
