MAY 27 LEAGUE RECAP Trois-Rivieres 5, Rockland 0 – Box Score Trois-Rivieres completed the three-game sweep of Rockland as they downed the Boulders by a 5-0 score. The Aigles pitching was superb as starter Matthew Rusch and relievers Taylor Hyssong and Shaun Ellis combined on a five-hit shutout. Rusch went the first 5 2/3 innings allowing three walks and four hits while striking out six batters. Hyssong and Ellis finished the final 3 1/3 innings giving up only a walk and a hit and fanning two. The 35-year-old Rusch notched the victory and is now 1-0 on the year. Offensively for Trois-Rivieres, 2B David Glaude led the way going 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Aigles SS Sam Dexter went 1-for-3 with a run and two RBI while leadoff hitter Alexi Colon added a pair of hits and a run batted in. Quebec 10, New Jersey 9 (11 Innings) – Box Score Right fielder Edgar Lebron scored the go ahead run on a double play in the top of the 11th inning as Quebec went on to a 10-9 victory over New Jersey.
