MAY 26 LEAGUE RECAP Quebec 6, New Jersey 3 – Box Score Quebec jumped out to a 5-0 lead after three innings of play and would cruise from there to a 6-3 win over New Jersey. The Capitales banged out 11 hits in the contest with five batters having multi-hit games. Quebec 1B Lachlan Fontaine (pictured) went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI while RF Edgar Lebron added a pair of doubles in four at-bats and drove in a run. Capitales starter Lazaro Blanco allowed three earned runs over 5 2/3 innings pitched to collect the win. Blanco allowed six hits and struck out four batters in 88 pitches. With the victory, the 32-year-old is now 1-1 on the year. For the Jackals, CF David Harris and 3B Seth Spivey hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning. Sussex County 2, Ottawa 1 – Box Score Third baseman Mikey Reynolds hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to make it 2-0 Sussex County and that proved to be the difference in the game as the Miners defeated Ottawa, 2-1.
